2012 Election: How the Tea Party Will Defeat Obama

Obama recently proposed tax increases for rich Americans. This is likely to be his downfall given the strong sentiments from the GOP, and the Tea Party movement in particular. The Tea Party is likely to defeat Obama come presidential election 2012 because taking from the rich to give to the poor is borderline socialist. The U.S. is the home of capitalism and Americans will not accept anyone who proposes to punish people for success.

Most conservatives, independents, and even liberals are likely to reject Obama's bid because of this, as the proposed increases will take money away from those who are in a position to create new jobs. The view of the Tea Party is that the government should cut government spending.

Another reason why the Tea Party's preferred candidate is likely to defeat Obama come presidential election 2012 is the fact that he has failed to create jobs and the unemployment rate is actually on the rise in most states. President Obama came into power promising to create jobs, but millions across the world have lost their livelihoods and there is no solution in sight.

President Obama went on a spending spree with an 'economic stimulus' that did not materialize. The fact that the President bailed out large corporations such as AIG and some of the top banks in Wall Street that he termed as 'too large to fail' created a lot of anger across the country, even with his fellow liberals, and this is likely to be his downfall.

President Obama has handled the illegal immigrant problem half-heartedly and this has alienated voters in the southern states. Although the Tea Party welcomes immigrants since America was built by immigrants, the position of the Tea Party is that all people coming into America must do so lawfully and they must carry their weight. The Tea Party is also likely to defeat Obama because the President has failed to deliver most of what he promised.

The Tea Party is slowly but surely becoming the heart and the soul of the conservatives. This is because the Tea party is infiltrating the GOP and left leaning GOP politicians have had to take note lest they lose their seats. All the contenders for the Republican Party nomination presidential election 2012 are towing the Tea Party line and chances are that the country will have a Tea Party candidate for president come 2012.
